Previous architecture, up to 0.9.5

Till version 0.9.5, video rendering was done done in a single SDL_Surface (framebuffer if you prefer). Depending on the active state of ARAnym (videl rendering, nfvdi rendering, booting, gui enabled, etc...), great care was needed to be sure everything was drawn in the correct order, and not dirty parts of screen that should not. GUI can not be used when OpenGL is enabled (because drawing GUI is done in a different thread), and the host screen class hold a mu…

'nfeth.xif' is the MiNT driver for ARAnyM networking. It emulates an Ethernet card on Atari side.

 Beware ! There is a bug in 1.16.1 kernel that hangs the kernel when loading any .XIF module. So you should either wait for a new MiNT kernel release, or compile a CVS version yourself.

The process

	* Get the source code
	* Configure
	* Edit the source code
	* Build the binary
	* Run it
	* Debug it if it doesn't run
	* Document it if it runs fine
	* Release it

Note: steps 3-6 are to be repeated almost endlessly until you're satisfied with the result.
